🎓 Celebrating the Class of 2026: A Season of Milestones, Memories & New Beginnings
May always feels like a month filled with possibility. The days get longer, the weather gets warmer, and suddenly we’re surrounded by caps, gowns, and proud families cheering on the next generation. Graduation season is here — and this year, it feels especially meaningful for Dream Lily Photography. Not only do we get to celebrate the incredible students in our community, but we also get to celebrate one of our own: my daughter, Sydney, who is graduating early as a junior and stepping confidently into her next chapter.
If you’ve ever met Sydney, you know she’s not just my daughter — she’s also my right‑hand photographer, creative partner, and the calm presence who helps bring so many of our sessions to life. Watching her balance school, work, and her passion for photography has been one of the greatest joys of my life. Seeing her walk across that stage this year will be a moment I’ll treasure forever.
But this blog isn’t just about our family milestone. It’s about all the graduates — the seniors finishing high school, the college students earning their degrees, the early grads who worked ahead, and the ones who overcame challenges to get here. Every single one of you has a story worth celebrating.

🌟 A Year of Hard Work, Growth & Resilience
Graduation isn’t just a ceremony. It’s the culmination of years of late‑night studying, early‑morning alarms, sports practices, part‑time jobs, friendships, challenges, and triumphs. It’s a moment that says, “You did it. You made it. And the world is waiting for you.”
Whether you’re heading to college, the military, a trade, a new job, or taking time to figure out your next step, this milestone matters. It marks the end of one chapter and the beginning of another — and that deserves to be honored.
As a photographer, I get a front‑row seat to the excitement, nerves, pride, and joy that come with this season. I see the parents trying not to cry as they straighten a tie or smooth a gown. I see the seniors who walk into their session shy and leave feeling confident and celebrated. I see the families who have waited years for this moment. And every time, I’m reminded why I love what I do.

📸 It’s Not Too Late for Graduation Photos
If you’re reading this and thinking, “Oh no… we never booked senior photos,” take a deep breath — you’re not behind. It is not too late.
We just did Sydney’s last week!!!!
Life gets busy. Schedules get complicated. And sometimes the school photographers can’t accommodate every situation — especially for early graduates like Sydney, who wasn’t able to get her drape photo done through the school because she’s technically still a junior. That’s exactly why I offer drape and tux sessions for students who need them, whether they’re early grads, homeschool students, or simply missed the school’s picture day.
These sessions are quick, classic, and designed to match the traditional style families expect. And for seniors who want something more personal — outdoor portraits, cap‑and‑gown sessions, hobby‑themed shoots, or a mix of everything — we can absolutely make that happen too.
Graduation photos don’t have an expiration date. Whether your ceremony is next week or next month, there’s still time to capture this milestone beautifully.

🎉 A Heartfelt Congratulations
To the Class of 2026 — high school, college, early grads, and everyone in between — congratulations. You’ve worked hard, pushed through challenges, and grown in ways you may not even realize yet. You deserve to be celebrated, photographed, and remembered.
To the parents, grandparents, guardians, and families — congratulations to you as well. You’ve supported, encouraged, and guided these students through every step of their journey. This moment belongs to you, too.
And to my Sydney — I am endlessly proud of you. Watching you grow as a photographer, a student, and a young woman has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Your future is bright, and I can’t wait to see where your creativity and determination take you next.
