My name is Katherine
My photography journey began in 2010 with a funny twist: I took Easter photos of my kids and tried to get them printed at Walmart, only to be told they couldn’t because of copyright concerns. I had to go home, grab my camera, and prove they were mine! That moment sparked something in me—and I haven’t looked back since.
I launched KSD Images, named after my three greatest inspirations: Kayla, Sydney, and Davis.
What started as a mom with a camera quickly grew into a full-fledged passion for capturing life’s most meaningful moments. To sharpen my skills and back my passion with knowledge, I earned my certification from the Photography Institute—because I wanted to be more than just someone with a good eye; I wanted to be a true professional.
What happened to KSD Images?
While KSD Images brought me joy and creative fulfillment, life had other plans. In 2019, I closed KSD Images in Arizona and moved to North Carolina to be closer to family.
But the camera never truly left my hands.
As Sydney ventured high school, and the Vice President of the Photography Club, and she has encouraged me to give this dream another go—and even stepped up to
show her skill as not only my assistant, but proved her photography skill in 2nd shooting weddings for me!.
So here I am—rebuilding, restocking props and backdrops, investing in new equipment, and chasing the dream I never truly let go of.
...Because dreams don’t expire.
And yes—DREAMS can come TRUE!

My name is Sydney
I started out as my mom's assistant, and now her apprentice and 2nd shooter. I love photography and am currently the Vice President of the Photography Club at my school. Graduating early, I'm going to study business plus all the photography courses my mom is setting me up with, I'm excited to work side by side with her, making my dreams come true, as we capture yours!
